Superhero Pose
In her book, Presence: Bringing your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges, Amy Cuddy writes about the multiple experiments that have been conducted which demonstrate that, “By adopting expansive, open postures…we feel more powerful, confident, assertive, less stressed and anxious, and happier and more optimistic.”
One such expansive posture, or power pose, that she mentions is the “Superhero” pose. In this pose you stand up straight with your chest out and hands on your hips (see image above). Try holding that position for two minutes and see how it makes you feel.
